TX vs AC
the difference between my situation and most is that i'm keeping the AC and power steering. if i can't or it'd be ridiculously difficult to accomplish this i'll seek out another engine (but i think its possible).
AC-
can i use my stock AC stuff in conjunction with the LS1's compressor or will there be a conflict (or lack of data needed for the GM ECM)?
P Steering-
can i just fab up some lines and use my stock rack with the LS1's pump?
i dont usually ask this many questions on forums but i can't find a single car like mine with an LS1 so i'm sort of breaking new ground. ive found two S14's but they dont have AC and even if they did i dont know the owners.

You might be best off to make a k-member that curves forward. Bmr can make you one if you send em your stock one.
my goal is to have this under 4 grand but if it goes over that really isn't a big deal. parts acquisition begins in a few months. thanks guys, i'll be askin a lot of questions.
