Sweeeet......That thing has to be a rocket!
As far as headers go for the swap, looks like with the limited space, the mid length that come with the kit would be ideal....On with the project!

I tried a set of longtubes not sure what kind but it would not clear the damn steering knuckle. Anyone around dfw have a set of longtubes for a fox I could use to test fit. I will leave a deposit on them so i can see what fits. Here's the steering knuckle.

Make sure the kind you try is a set of 351W fox body and not 302 headers...they fit quite a bit different

Gene has been known to cruise around in some real sleepers.

I test fit a pair of Pacesetter LS1 longtubes in my car, and they almost fit perfectly. The only thing I would have needed to do to make them fit in as-is would be to lower the engine about another 3/4" or so.

What kind of mods did you have to do? I am actually trying to fit my headers now, and am not having much luck, I'm using mac 1 3/4 long tubes in a 95 with a 4.6 tubular k-member. any help would be great.

tHE DRIVERS SIDE I HAD NO PROBLEM JUST SLIGHT ADJMENTS BEFORE I COULD WELD BUT THE PASSENGER SIDE I HAD TO TRIM THE K MEMBER AT THE BOTTOM WHERE THE 2 BOLTS ARE I HAD TO CUT IT TO WHERE THERE WAS ONLY 1 BOLT AND I HAD TO MOVE THE THIRD PIPE ON THE HEADER I CUT 1/2 INCH OUT OF IT WHERE THE PIPE COMES DOWN AND THEN IT TURNS BACK THAT IS WHERE I CUT OUT THE 1/2 INCH RIGHT AFTER THAT BEND. AND I HAD TO SLIGHTLY FLATTEN THE TUBE THAT IS RIGHT NEXT TO THE FRAME RAIL

from what i'm reading i think using a set of pace setters and maybe tilting the engine back a bit would be the easiest way?

to the guys that used pace setters , do you think they would fit if the motor was tilted back a bit ( if so how much tilt is needed?)

will the oil pan clear the k-member ( or will there other issues) if the motor is lowered about an inch?

With my AJE tubular K, I could easily lower the engine enough to clear without issue

I didn't know the motor mounts on the AJE where adjustable?
so just to clarify, if i use pace setter headers, 4.6 engine mounts, and a AJE k member i won't have any issues?

They're not adjustable, but there's nothing stopping me from cutting and welding the mount perches

I'm going to open up some dialog with a couple header manufacturers (starting with LS1Tech sponsors of course), and see if this is something they'd like to persue offering.

I had a QA1 K member from a 4.6 car, which I had to trim some of - using Mac 1 3/4 LT's. Had to also re-route one primary on each side. Took some work, but they turned out real nice.

here's another question for ya! AJE offeres a dropped steering rack option ( i think it was 1.5) , will this help any with the steering shaft hitting the header issue?
