LS1 deckheight: 9.24"
302W deck: 8.206"
351W deck: 9.503
Seems the 302 shorties would be too "short" lol The 351W header will be about .25 too long but i dont see that being a huge problem. I dont see why one wuold have to modify any tubes though everything being equal. I'd think if nothing else, we'd have more room using a 351W header because it'll drop it down .25" or so to clear most things, including the steering shaft and firewall corners.

i ordered a set of pace setter headers for an f-body ( if they need too much work to make them fit, i'll just sell them and get the 351 mac's) which should be here in a week or so ( i hope ), i'll be sure to take a bunch of pics when i get everything mocked up.

i`m thinking of useing the aje for sbc and i read somewhere that they have a ls1 motor mount conversion kit ??? I have also read that a guy used a f-body ls1 k-member and bolted it in his mustang but i thing he had a 94?
Also whats the differance in the ls1 and zo6 block ?sorry new to the lsx motors.
p.s. i have mint 93 notchback heres a pic i want to do a all aluminum lsx motor for it.

that is my only problem hehe. I dont know how to weld, gotta go buy a welder and learn
