MAF air - Options/ideas
MAF air - Options/ideas I'm looking for different options or ideas for my MAF air intake. I want something that looks good and provides plenty of airflow. I'm leaning towards getting the gto elbow and filter like Scooter70 but I would like to see what else is available. I've also looked at the Street and Performance set up but I heard (true or false?) it didn't provide enough air for the system. I may be adding a mild cam, ported heads, and headers so I want plenty of air intake.
Also, is it worth extending the air intake to a cooler area? (ex. in front of my radiator support).

I asked a similar question a while ago, and got these responses. I bought the rubber reducing elbow, and it looks and works great, and it was around $25.00! It connects the MAF to the TB. I have just used a K&N filter with a 3 1/2 neck to attach to the MAF for now. I am planning on the cold air thing down the road. This was the post I had:

If you're looking for cool air, the GTO elbow probably isn't going to get it. This weekend I was driving around in 90* ambient temps, and my air intke temp (IAT) sensor was reading about 158*. I'm going to keep it like this for this summer but I think this winter I'm going to find a way to get cooler air.
