What the title says. I haven't seen anything about this and I think it would be interesting.

I know that people have dropped LS1 motors into the 240Z. Those things freaking fly!

I have an enthusiast model which doesn't have the leather seats and little extas with the Bose system and stuff. I know everyone has their own opinion but I'm not sure how you thought it was cheap inside? That car has definetly been voted best bang for the buck atleast for the touring model because yeah, they charge too much for the Convertable.

I'll agree with that. It definitely sounds weird coming from a mostly f-body site. I love my camaro, but the interior isn't exactly up to luxury standards, neither is the corvette's.

the tacky silver painted plastic looks straight from a Daewoo (I wouldn't insult Kia or Hyundai like that) If I were considering that car, I would save my money end iethre get the Vette, or the G35, which even as a 'twin' is MUCH better loooking!

G35 isn't a twin. It's a completely different car with no shared cosmetic sheetmetal or interior parts. It's also on a stretched chassis to accomodate the rear seats. Sure it shares the powertrain and underpinnings, but so do several other Nissan/Infinitis. It also costs about $10k more than a base 350Z.

I have to agree with some others that the thought of an F-body owner calling anybody's interior tacky is laughable.

Are you crazy?

It's just as much of a twin as the firebird/camaro.

The only thing different chassis-wise is between the 350 and the standard 4dr g35, the g35c is the exact same.

The G35 Coupe is on a 112.2" wheelbase, and the 350Z is on a 104.3" wheelbase. The G35 coupe is 182.2" long and the 350Z is 169.4" long. They share no interior panels and no exterior sheetmetal or glass. They are not twins, they share a common powertrain and chassis architecture. They have as much in common as the Chrysler Crossfire and the Mercedes Benz SLK320.

Do some research before spouting off about that which you have no knowledge of.

interesting, I always thought they were basically the same car too. Either way, I like the 350Z better, and obviously the only thing they share is not what I like. I would like it better if it didn't come with the engine and transmission.

The 350 would definately make a good candidate, given the extreme engine setback. I'm not sure it would ultimately be better than an Rx7, but it would be awesome nonetheless.

Here you go...

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Nissa...QQcmdZViewItem

And... get half your money back selling the engine/tranny to a ricer An LSx WILL live in a 350z sooner or later.

Negative... listen to CMcCarthy...

LS1 Swap into a 350Z sounds very interesting, but probably not feasible right now for most people until the price drops.

Hey the 350z interior might look crappy and like a Kia, but guess what their platic is higher quality than Fbody plastic, and it doesnt effin rattle or sqeak!!!! Besides you can't be too picky obviously.....

I'd find an older 240 or 280Z to do it to. With the leftover cash, you could build one sick motor. My buddy has a built 355/700R4 in a 280Z. Pretty damn fast.

I totally agree with you!
I have a 280Z, I just purchased an LS2 complete drivetrain for it.
