I just completed my lt1/ls1 swap and I'm pushing close to $5500 for the swap which includes the labor bill for the shop that did the engine swap. I've been trouble shooting minor bugs here and there for the past few weeks but now she's running.

Do you have a list of additional parts, cost etc?
how much was labor?
how much for the LS1?? where did you obtain it... I guess I want the life story of all parts and cost...... This would be the greatest help in the world in helping me determain if I want to go this route.

why?
the only advantage would be the shortblock.... but he would pay more for the motor, and then have to deal with custom wiring, the electric throttle, oil pan, and accessories.
or he can get a fbody LS1(for less), and have it be a boltin... later on, he can always put a LS2 shortblock in.

Why should he pay for an LS1 and then later on pay AGAIN for an LS2?!? Does he like wasting money?

I like money!!!!! I need to know how much money a job like this is going to cost... I'm askign for an LS1 swap because I can measure that... If I decide to go with an LSx... it's going to be 6.0 or higher i'm sure... The wiring is all the same and you can get away with bolting all the LS1 t/b intake, heads etc on the ls2 block... so none of that bothers me I want to know what it actually cost to put one in... etc parts etc.. also labor would be nice.

It's been a few months but I bought the 50Kmi ls1/t56, kmem, wire harness, computer, ac/heater hoses for $3500 then shipped it for $200 roadway. Labor was $750. 97 vette fuel rail from gmpartsdirect $235. Radiator $65 ebay. Steering rack w/linkage $75. Pace Longtube headers w/Y $430 ebay. Computer tune $45. Wire harness reworked by lt1350.com $200. Of course new spark plugs $25, oil filter/oil $15, new belts $40I still need powersteering return line $25, an alignment from the engine swap ~$40 and my new Y pipe welded in ~$30. That's pretty much it.
Walmart screwed up an oilchange and burned my lt1 motor up so I got a settlement out of it- enough to get the motor and pay for labor so I acutally ended up only paying out about $1500-$1700 total out of my pocket and I'm selling the lt1/t56 on ebay right now to get a good chunk of that back. So in the end I would have had to shell out only a few hundred.
