Default LS2 G-Body Swap

I might be picking up an LS2 soon and have a few questions about swapping it into my 88 Monte Carlo SS. Right now, I'm running a built 200-4r tranny and would like to know if the LS2 block is still missing one of the passenger upper bellhousing mounting bolts. If so, will this affect anything?

Also, does the LS2 mount like any other LSx engine or do I need to use different motor mounts?

Thanks
Nick

Missing and no, it won't affect anything.

Yea I think I may sit on the motor for a while but I really can't pass it up.

Also John, would the corvette accessory brackets work or would I need to use Fbody? I'm assuming LS1 stuff swaps over.

How much do you sell the modified oil pans and motor mounts for? If you want, shoot me a PM with a price. I'd love to dig into it.

Thanks
Nick

Are you going to use an LS2 computer and harness or an LS1 computer and harness? When you get to the wiring point, post up and lets us know how easy or how much more diificult it is than a LS1. Good Luck

My plan was to swap to the mechanical throttle TB and use an LS1 comp. I'll have to look more into it.

Thanks

I had the same thing on my LS6/700R4 top bellhouse bolt hole missing- no problem for my set up . I'm coming up on 500 miles - time to put in some good clean oil. This thing gets better mileage than my wife's minivan!!!!
