Default 91 master cyl work with 2001 slave cylinder

just wondering whats up with the tranny that all i have to do is get that straightend out and shes ready to go. could it be a weak slave cylinder or is it my master cylinder. need some help

Yes, done the swap twice, but never mixed 'n matched hydraulic components like this so not much help.

I'd use the '01 master cyl to rule out the '91 piece as the cause...unless you can research the piston size of the two masters to see if they move the same fluid volume per stroke.

you need to run the LS1 style master cyl... it moves alot more fluid.

you'll also want to change teh clutch pedal to the LS1 one... the piviot point that the clutch connects to is lower.


id recomend the mcleod clutch master cyl over the stocker.... but regardless of the LS1 cyl you use, you need to do the drill mod...
