Ls1 carb question A few weeks ago a guy pulled out in front of me and totaled my '99 TA. The motor back is fine, so I want to do a conversion. The front of the car got pretty screwed up. I lost the Air box, MAF sensor, throttle body, Intake manifold, and all the wiring to the fuse boxes. PCM is still intack. Which way is it going to be less of a headache and or save money? Which manifolds will fit the ls1?
You can pick up everything you just described for fairly cheap.

Airbox: Probably custom regardless on a converted car (what are you putting the engine in?
Most likely the wiring damaged wasn't engine wiring, and any engine wiring that was damaged is pretty easy to repair.
I say all this, because my donor engine went through the same thing, with the exact same damaged parts. Those are the prices I spent on this site to get the parts.
Plus, then you don't have a fuel leak mounted on your engine.
