If they can fit a ls2 in a trailblazer SS, an ls1 cant be too hard. No info though.

The Trailblazer/Envoy were available with 5.3 aluminum V8s so all the parts will be available, mounts, rads, hoses etc. The intake is different from the LS1 (truck vs F body) but could still be used. The throttle body was electronic not cable and the fuel lines had a return line. The accesory drive is the same as the trucks. The exhaust manifolds are unique. Should be an easy swap.

Should be pretty straight forward. A 97 Vette fuel rail should mate right up to the Trailblazer fuel system, and I'm sure an F-Body throttle cable will snap in pretty directly.

I just remembered another unique difference. THe oil pan is completely different. It has a front sump and a hole for the front drive shaft to run through. They should be available from an auto wrecker. I know of one here in Canada.

Your definately better off finding a 5.3 out of a trailblazer with all the stuff you need to swap. I cant imagine how much all of that stuff would cost from GM. Also the various modules in the Trailblazer seem to be more sensitive on Class 2 comunication. Definately would advise to use a factory harness and just plug everything in.

Just fix it and trade it in. The new Trailblazer SS has a 6.0l in it and all you need to do is make the payments. I guess I'm getting cynical and lazy in my old age! Ha!
