Mine has been off the streets for almost two years now. But this weekend she will see pavement and sun again.
I pulled my Bigblock on Aug 26-05, then I got the LS1 package in early November 2005. Had it running a year later and took a spin around the block to see that it could run. After that I have been doing a lot of other stuff on the car that is sort of related to the swap. I have been fabricating a new dashpanel for a more modern look, putting in a Vintage Air A/C and some other stuff. So almost two years for me.
I figure that if I could have had the time it could be done in two months. But you have to work, spend time with the family and in my case also do a bathroom in the house. Time flies...
I have also fabricated much of the conversion pieces myself. Motormounts, Headers, Gastank, Transcrossmember and redoing the wiring.
And it is fun
