Working on getting the last of the parts for the LS1 swap. One of my still needed parts are the coil packs. The swap engine is a 98 LS1. There are some 05 Corvette coils for sale on ebay right now with wiring harness. Will 05 Corvette coil packs and harness work with the 98 engine and wiring harness? I know I would need to fab up my own bracket but other wise is it pretty much plug and play?

 

TTT - Is this a dumb a** question (I've been known to ask them) or just no one knows the answer? Looking at the picture on ebay connectors seem to look the same just wondering if the wiring is the same and if they'll hook up and work properly without making other mods. TIA

 

Yes, as long as the wiring harness is with them, they will work. The light gray connector at the end of the harness plugs right into the LS1 harness.

 

I'm using LS2 coils. Like John said, be sure to get the coil pack harnesses with them.
