Default LSx to 200-4r??

I picked up a stock LS1 flexplate for the LS2 I'll be getting. I know the bellhousing bolt pattern is the same, minus 1 bolt, but will the converter bolt up or do I need an adapter of osme kind or spacer??

Thanks
Nick

You either have to get the converter made specifically for it or get a spacer.

I have a SS3800E yank converter set up for an LSx and 200-4r if you want it

My converter is brand new and cost a pretty penny. What kind of spacer do I need? Does it space the flexplate out or the converter from the flexplate?

Thanks
Nick

GM has an install guide for swapping an LS1 type engine in to older vehicles. It is part number 88959384. It is expensive and doesnt have a lot of info, but I found some of it useful. The reason you need a spacer is that the crank is .400" shorter on the LS1 as compared to the older small blocks, I dont know if this is true for the LS2, better ask someone who is familar with the LS2. The spacer you need is GM part number 12563532 and bolts 12563533. GM states that these parts are included with the flexplate assembly 12551367, but I would check before ordering. By the way, GM also states that this flexplate is all ready on engines that are set up for the 4L80E tranny. My 2002 truck engine had these parts aready installed, all I had to do was modify the bolt holes for the converter. The flexplate holes have to be made oval to fit the bolt pattern of the 200-4r torque converter, a die grinder will make this an easy job.

Wouldn't a flexplate & hardware for a 6.0L / 4L80-E truck do the trick?

The part numbers I listed are for the 4L80E setup. My engine is a 2002 6.0 and it had all of the parts already installed.

What you need is here. About 1/2 way down the page is an LS-1 kit for the 200R4 which is a crank spacer and bolts for $75.00. Uses the stock LS flywheel...

does an escalade come with the 4l80 or the 60?
and what are the visual differences between an ls1 flexplate and the one that would fit an older tranny/ 4l80??

Default What about the TV cable?

I know there are TV cable kits for carb based throttle linkage but what about a TB? How would you control the TV cable?
