just starting my project.using lt1 from 94 caprice.does anyone see any problems switching to M21 4SPEED FROM ORIGINAL AUTO?Wanted to stay old school but if too much hassle will stick with auto trans.

do they actually make a bell housing or adapter to make that fit? i would go the retro route and just use a t56. it might make it a bit easier.

A LT1 uses the same bellousing used on all SBCs since 55. The flywheel did change with the introduction of the 1 piece rear main seal.

Why not put a T56 behind it? Double overdrive and a transmission that is probably just as strong. Putting an M-21 behind a fuel injected LT1 doesn't make sense to me.....

Have The M21 Trans. And Bell Housing.wanted To Stick With The Way The. Old Customs Were Set Up With Some The New Ideas,like The Fuel Injection.i Am 55 And A Bit Old Fasioned.have 12 B0lt Out F A69 Elcamino Ss That I Wil Also Be Installing.
