350 dune buggy

im looking to put a 350 SBC into a dune buggy, My question is, can I bolt a set of vortec heads and intake onto a 1979 block, and would it be wise to port and polish them

Yes, you can bolt on a set of Vortec heads but I don't think the LSx style heads will.

Chevy recommends not porting the Vortec heads. They say that they're already optimized out of the box and anything that you do to them can only make them worse.

What does this have to do with LS1Tech?
