what do i need?

i am getting a 1999 ls1 and a t56 with the engine harness and ecm...what do i need to know/do to make this computer work in my 1966 el camino? is there anything else i need to get or can i modify what i have?

yeah i read through there, they have the pinouts in there but my question is more basic. can i get it in my el camino and running with the engine harness and ecm or do i need other stuff?

You need other stuff. Fuel pump and plumbing, cooling fan(s), engine mounts, air intake ducting and filtration among other things.

You also need to get 12VDC to the right places on the LS1 harness, get some gauge outputs from the right places on the harness, relay the fuel pump and fan(s).

You need to get the PCU tuned to eliminate VATS or get a VATS simulator. You can build one for a couple of bucks. There is a schematic posted in this forum somewhere.
