Sanden 508 A/C Compressor, What Size Hoses?

Sanden 508 A/C Compressor, What Size Hoses? Looking in the AeroQuip Performance catalog, I see that they offer -06, -08 & -10 stainless steel braided A/C hose & fittings. What size hose is best for the small & large ports coming off the Sanden 508 compressor? Is a charge port only needed on the smaller of the two lines? Does this charge port need to be at the highest point in the system?Thanks, Gar

Sanden 508 Hoses... O.K...Did some more research. Called my friend who builds all the Hot Rods at Year One in Georgia & was on last nights TV show "Rides" & many others. Called Street & Performance. Looked at my other GM truck's A/C system, etc... The larger hose port(the suction port), that goes straight to the accumalator on the firewall, calls for -10 hose & fittings WITH a service port. The smaller hose port(the pressure port), that goes forward to the top port of the condenser in front of the radiator, calls for -8 hose & fittings WITH a service port. The return hose coming back from the condenser, which goes to the other fitting sticking out of the firewall, calls for -6 hose & fittings WITHOUT a service port. A service port is where you introduce your 134a refrigerant, evacuate old freon, etc...which AeroQuip sells, & are incorporated into the hose end fittings. Thought maybe some of you others could use this information.
