Cam suggestion??
Cam suggestion?? I'm putting a crate LS2 into my 88 Monte SS. Motor will have 160*, cold air, 2.5" xpipe and a performance tune. Once cam is installed, will probably opt for a dyno tune.
Motor will be backed by a built 200-4r with a 3200stall 9.5" 2.45str lockup converter, 3.42 posi rear, and hoosier QTPs for the track.
I want to utilize the converter I have but also keep driveability and streetability. Car is a daily driver from spring to fall but I would like to squeeze some extra juice outta the motor. A small lopey idle is fine but I dont want a powerband to 7000 either. I want all around good power. Will also need to pass the emissions testing.
So what kind of cam suggestions do you have? I will be using the stock lifters but will upgrade the springs accordingly. A few have suggested around a 111-112 LSA and duration around 224/226. Any suggestions?
