Default LT1 swap into a malibu

I have a 1980 Malibu with the stock v6 and th350 trans in it. I have the chance to get a mid nintes LT1 to put in it. The thing is i have no idea how big of process it would be. What would i have to change on the motor, what would i have to change in my car? How many new parts would i have to buy? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

What V6?
The LT1 should bolt to that trans, but don't take my word for it.

Welcome aboard! For as much work as it would be (which isn't all that much!) you'd be better off just dropping in an LS1!

we have a 83 wagon we are doing an LT1 swap into

bought a cross member from crossmembers.com and new motor mounts in the correct holes and it drops right in. the trans linkage bolted up even, you need to get an AC delete pulley, or notch the frame on the passanger side. we rigged in an LT1 radiator and fans even. biggest problem we are having is with the computer and wiring. for all the trouble that it is i wish we would have put the LS1 in instead... btw if you want to buy the stuff for an LT1 swap talk to me, i want to get rid of it so i can get an LS1 (LT1 in the wagon does not run due to electrical/computer/spark issues)
