detent cable?

i have a drop out motor and trans that i got off ebay. ive never worked with a 4l60e before. i noticed the throttle cable bracket on the intake has 2 notches, but i see no connections for a detent on the trans. do i need one, and where in the heck does it hook up? thanks in advance for any help

just searched 4l60e cable on yahoo and found my own answer. just didnt seem like it would be that easy to figure out. sorry for the unneccessary post. but what is that notch on the bracket for then?i have 2 notches.

some cars had 2 seperate cables.. one was cruise control
