Need advice on a4-m6 swap

Need advice on a4-m6 swap I know most people will say to just buy a M6 from the start, but that's proven to be very difficult. So disregarding that approach, how worth it or not worth it (time and money wise etc.) would it be to buy an a4 and convert it to a m6? I know I could find a 2000+ A4 for around 14grand. Now would that justify swapping for M6? Please shed some more light on the subject...thanks. And yes, I've been reading through other threads about this, but I'm still interested in anyones opinion/input.
I was thinking of going the other way M6-A4. I would buy a M6 from the start unless you are handy with tools. It is a "fun" swap and kind of a pain in the *** if you do not have the car you are swapping from there to get all the nuts and pins/bolts from it. The M6 is nice and I plan on using it in another car that I have.

You can usually find someone selling or trading for a th350 swap...
the conversions ive seen went for around 1800~2k
all depends, sometimes you can score a good deal and get all the parts in one
AND youll get some money back for your 4L60E/shifter/flexplate....
Shouldnt be out much at all...
Just make sure you are going to keep the 6spd, and wont want to swap for a more track friendly th350/th400 later, so you arent swapping twice.
