NV3500 to small block problems I know this isn't LSx related, but this is the best site to ask questions, so here goes. I have a NV3500 5 Speed manual transmission out of a full size chevy truck, with the spring loaded throwout bearing. I am adapting it to a 67 327 L79 engine in my dads Chevelle, and I am having a problem with the clutch. I used the a replacement clutch for the transmission, the stock 327 flywheel, and a hydraulic master cylinder out of a LS based F-body with the conversion bracket. The problem is that the clutch does not seem to fully disengage. I am bottoming out the master cylinder, but the clutch still feels engaged slightly. The engine hasn't been started, until I fix this. Is the master cylinder for the trucks larger (more volume/larger piston)? Do you shim the throwout bearing? I have heard that this transmission is an easy swap to small blocks, but nobody seems to have any answers to my questions. Thanks for any help.
