The Best V8 Stories One Small Block at Time
I never understood the V* swap concept personally, as EVERY good thing about the Miata is taken away, since the highlights are IRS, and 50/50 weight. I know it's neat and all since it would still only weigh like 2500 with a V8 drivetrain, incl rear, but you would start to break other things too. The widest tire you can get on them is a 205, maybe 225.
I love my 92 Miata, and I definitely love 99 TA, but the 2 are completely different cars, and it just does not seem like a good swap. Now, I must say, that a 2nd or 3rd gen RX7 turbo will go pretty much RIGHT into a Miata. FUN FUN FUN
I agree on the 2nd gen RX7 swap, i was talking to a friend about that the other day, he has an early 1990's miata suffering from the crank walk, he plans on just rebuilding though

Not to get far off topic, but he's wasting money. www.corksport.com has JDM 2nd Gen Turbomotors for like $900. That 1.6 aint cheap to rebuild.
