LS1 in an X-treme? I was just wondering if it was possible to throw an LS1 in a S-10? I thought it would rock if I could only get some traction. Tell me what ya'll think.

Re: LS1 in an X-treme? I have a motor and tranny out of a 98 Formula with all accesories and sensors. The package is very complete. 8k miles on everything. complete from serpentine belt through the cats and out the y-pipe. Computer EVERYTHING! $3000. I am also in Houston.

Re: LS1 in an X-treme? This isn't exactly an easy or a cheap swap, basically it doesn't fit but it can be done as long as you not looking for a bolt in swap and can handle some fabrication. I'm in the middle of this on a 98 Sonoma so if you do it I'll try to help.

im doing a twin turbo ls1 in an 02 xtreme and its a very tight fit but not impossible. im kinda stuck on it right now but im gonna have it together soon hopfully. if anyone has done an ls1 in an s10 and have any tips on wiring i need it.

From what ive read on that swap, you have to use the vette accessories on the front of the motor. Also modify your motor mounts and all the other fabrication that goes along with that. Most ive seen have retained exhaust manifolds too. Try s10forum.com

also check out www.turbols6.com Todd has done a crapload of research on getting the LSx motor into a 4wd S10 chassis......Turbotime/JSManufacturing are going to start offering LSx motor mounts for the 4wd S-series as well I think....
