Default Few questions

Hi, I want to say that this forum has input a great deal on my decision to put a LS1 into my third gen Camaro (Thanks everyone). Heres a few questions... One of my concerns before i start is The Tranny and Torque Arm. Im going to be using the T56 with this swap and Ive noticed that spohn sells a Tranny Torque Arm and crossmember package for 93-97 T56 transmissions.. Im assuming this would work for 98+ t56's because Im under the impression that they only changed over to a none clutch fork hydrolic design (casing is exactly the same?) can anyone confirm this. For fuel I plan on buying a TPI/TBI fuel tank & sending unit from a later third gen (mine was Carburated) and using the Walbro high pressuree fuel pump, and J. Speartech's idea of the Aeromotive Fuel Press. Reg. with return port. My Father was an electrician and I'm in college for Automotive engineering so we plan on using a stock LS1 wiring harness and fab'ing it to the rest of the cars wiring. Im concerned about the motor mounts.. there im clueless because i havent seen LS1's diference yet and i dont have a welder. has anyone found a set of headers that fit in the thirdgen's yet? (im not going to be using the AC if that helps) Anything else major that I should be concerned about?
Thanks for your time in reading this.
And to John Bzdel Awesome documentation, I refer to it often and John Speartech for ansering emails about the fuel system.

You're welcome and glad we could help Anthony!

If you e-mail Speartech, hew has found a supplier for 3rd gen motor mounts! They should bolt right in. As for headers, you should be able to modify either a shorty LS1 set or fab some new ones.

As for the crossmember I think you're right, it should bolt up but I'd e-mail Spohn just to double check. Good luck!
