can I use the LS1 dash harness??
What are the pros and cons of using the LS1 donor cars dash harness?I am modifying my entire dash and will be changing gauges so it makes sense to just use the donor cars gauges.Wouldn't this eliminate some problems of splicing, modifying my stock harness as well as make it easier to connect the bulk head?
I will likely be using an fbody engine combo and wouldn't mind blending the gauge cluster in,and maybe even the ac,wiper, radio controls and whatever else can be had.
If anyone has info on this I could use the help.
Thanks in advance,Joe
The inside harness is big, bulky, and complex, so if you do go that route, by all means get the FSM (factory service manual) from Helm for the donor car. Don't get a cheapie Haynes or Chilton manual or whatever else they sell as a service manual, it won't do the job for what you are talking about doing.
Easier: NO, Unique: YES.
