I'd say going with LS1 edit is a GOOD idea.. if you set codes for any reason, you can disable them, not to mention the custom calibration mods you can do.

There are lots of little issues you'll have to consider; I'm pretty sure I've got a solution to all of them so far <img border="0" title="" alt="[Wink]" src="gr_images/icons/wink.gif" />
I'm using a regular truck harness that I'll modify to work in my application. I'd rather use an LS1 motor, but they are more expensive than the truck motors.

I don't think he has much more done now.. he may have been doing something with the transfercase or transmission - he was still using the Jeep 5 speed. I thought it was pretty cool that he was getting 22-24mpg. Beats the hell out of the 16 or so I have to TRY to get in my Jeep.
