Default o2 simulator question

I have run into a small issue with my front 02 sensors and I'm trying to find the best solution. I am swapping a 99 vette ls1 into a 95 chevy 4wd. I have had to swap to camaro manifolds in order to clear my front differential. So, the driver's side 02 sensor wiring is to short. It tells me in the vette service manual not to tamper with or extend the wiring. I assume this is because even a little bit of wire would cause somewhat more resistance???? Plus, on the passenger side the camaro manifold is not taped for an 02 sensor. So I would have to get a tap to place one there. I am considering getting some of the 02 simulators and solving both problems. Does anyone know a good source to find these. Any other opionions or ideas here? I'm open to suggestions.
Thanks,
Davey
By the way, I might should add that I don't have rear 02s and John programmed the PCM to run accordingly, so they are not an issue.

You are going to have to run the forward O2's. Somebody had extension harnesses---I just don't remember who. I'm pretty sure they are a sponsor though. You can get a O2 bung anywhere and get it welded on the manifold/pipe. As far as the manual telling you not to tamper with the wiring, I think it's a resistance issue. It's all about millivolts here. The splices are where you could run into problems. I think it can be done.

The front O2 sensors are required for the engine to run. That is how the engine determines if it is lean or rich. Without them it will run like crap. Trust me.

The rear O2 sensors only tell the computer how well the cats are working. Without them, the computer will think the cats are bad but will not affect performance. The computer programming you mentioned to get it to run without the rear O2's just turned off the SES light. It didn't actually affect the programming of the computer.

A lot of the header manufacturers sell O2 extensions. Just check with any of the sponsors and someone can help you.

Just peel back the wiring harness and release the wires from the main bundle and it will be plenty long enough! I did this and now my front O2's read from the collectors on my headers which have 32" long primaries and a full collector. My point is...I relocated my driver's side wire and O2 sensor about 24"!!!! It can be done <img border="0" title="" alt="[Big Grin]" src="gr_grin.gif" />

I believe there is a difference between pass and driv side O2 pigtail lengths on the Fbody front O2's. One of them is around 5" longer than the other.

Ok, so let me get this straight, you did a search, pulled up a 7 year old thread, and then didn't even read it?
