vette vs. fbody crank pulley

<img border="0" alt="[bang head]" title="" src="graemlins/gr_banghead.gif" />
I may end up going with the Vette pulley, and remounting the alternator.... <img border="0" title="" alt="[Eek!]" src="gr_eek2.gif" />
Thanks for the info guys!

Does anyone know for sure if this is true? And if so, how much the difference is?
I'm looking for all of the space that I can, if I can get some by using the vette setup, that would be cool. Of course that means either getting a vette engine, or a complete vette bracket set - just another bridge to cross...
Thanks!
Of course, I'm considering removing the water pump and putting a remote electric one on it to save me even more up front room. In that case I won't have the pulley in the middle so I'll have to come up with another idler somewhere.
