4L60E question I have an 02 LS1/4L60E that came out of a wrecked camaro. On the passenger side of the trany there is a big connector(about 1 inch diameter) that the wiring harness plugs into. It has about 9 small silver wires sticking up in it that plug into the harness. Who ever pulled my motor/tranny out broke the plastic housing on it. Does anyone know what the function of this is? Does anyone know how this comes out of the tranny and where I might find a new one? I checked with my local chevy dealer but they could not find in their books. Thanks, John

Re: 4L60E question That connector controls all of the internal seloniods, make sure you have a good seal (replace it) so that no moisture gets in the connections and messes it up.
Not sure how to replace it yet, i'll know tomorrow, i'm going to take a look at my trans, it is broken and apart, so i'll be able to tell.

Re: 4L60E question That plastic connector snaps into the trans from the bottom side. It feeds all electrical functions inside. To remove it, you just push the retaining tabs in on the side of it(4 I think) and push down. You should be able to order it or a larger dealer will have it in stock. It comes complete with the entire harness for inside the trans. Have them show you a picture of the valve body and components and it should be in there. Hope this helps
