I have been fortunate enough to take a couple of these new Z-06 cars for a ride. One of the few "dealer employee benefits". All I can say is......"wow". I never drove anything this potent on the street before!! What a powerplant!!! Idles like a Swiss watch but when you romp on it.........it hits like a sledgehammer! A customer of mine picked his up at Bowling Green and drove it here (West Coast). He said he ran a pretty consistant 80-85 mph and got 23 mpg!

 

I don't know what kind of exhaust you plan to run but the stock C6 Z06 exhaust is extremely quiet at idle. I was at the track the other night and there was a red one running and I had to double check under the hood to verify the LS7. What a freakin sleeper until he hammered it. I definatly think a bigger cam is just what the doctor ordered on these LS7's.

Congrats and I must admit I am feeling a little jealous. Keep us posted.
