Oh, it will be a while. I hope to have the cab and dog house done by mid spring. Then I will start on the bed this summer. We are using a late model 95 step side bed. I love that look of the newer bed on these old trucks.

not to much more, the bed is 99% complete..all spot welds smoothed, end caps smoothed, gaps set to 3/16", primed and blocked numerous times, its ready for paint...the cab was blocked countless times, gaps were set, but the left side rocker contour didnt match the right side (i know no-one would ever notice, but it was bother-some) so it will be cut out and new one ( that will have the same contour) will replace it......i know its a bit overboard, but i want this to be flawless......![Grin](https://ls1tech.com/forums/images/smilies/LS1Tech/gr_grin.gif)
total cost, well im well into the the upper 30G and growing everyday.... when it gets back from paint i still have the interior to do, then mabey one day ill actually drive this thing....

It sound like a lot of work to me,LOL. The gaps on our truck are fitting like ****. The new panels on the front end are giving me a fit. I'm going to have to modify some metal. I was hoping it would fit better but these old trucks never fit well to begain with. So you gotta work with what you got.
