Default What mounts for a true "bolt-in" .

I'm geting close to finishing up my LQ4 to put in my 81Z28. Is there a motor mount that will allow me to use my driveshaft and keep my transmission right where it is? I was going to use the S&P style plates but some say they move the engine back.
Is there an adapter mount that is a true boltup allowing my trans/crossmember/driveshaft stay where they are?

Based on what I have seen with my swap so far, the S&P type mount should put you pretty close. The motors are similar in length, the transmissions are what is different. If you are keeping your T350, then your crossmember should be close, maybe someone who has done it that way can chime in.

hope that helps

Thanks for the help Pat, I think I'll just try and use the S&P mount. Maybe I'll give their tech line a call. As long as my trany stays where it is I'll be fine.

I left my tranny bolted up in the stock location, set the engine and made my mounts.. Solid sbc motor mounts and some pate.. This only left about a 1/4" of clearance but with solid mounts its not going to move..
