unplug PCM when welding ?
Noticed on the Mallett/Solstice site that they're advising to unplug the PCM
when welding on the car.
Does this apply to any GM PCM cars ?
I thought disconnecting the battery was enough precaution, they say otherwise.
Any thoughts ?

I would recommend at the very least is to disconnect the battery and any large gage wires from the vehicle. The smaller 14 and less will not cause any harm. The welding "short circuit" always goes to the closes points or the ones with the least resistance. There is other electronic equipment that can fall victim to welding, but they will be ok if the smaller gages are left connected ... since they will still provide protection to their intended design limit (say 30A max).
