Engine and Trans, Wiring, Clutch, Head gasket, Cams, Injectors, Intake Manifold, Exhaust Manifold, Down pipe, Intercooler, Waste gate, Turbo (GT3071R) etc… You can get to $10-15,000 real fast.
With the same money you could have an incredible LS1/T-56 combo that would make more power and have a tremendous amount of torque.
Go for the LS1/T-56 in the 240SX

We recently purchased a 95 240SX and will be completing the swap just after the first of the year. We will be offering the mounting equipment and engine support systems in similar fashion to our RX7 product line.
Initial mounting equipment will be for a T56, but we will offer a version for the 4L60E as well.
Please email or call us if you have any questions. Have a good weekend.

I just picked up my ls1 dropout a few hours ago. After taking a look at things mounting will be very easy, it will just be placement of the engine itself that will take time to line up. I measured my stock 240sx tranny from bell housing to shifter hole and measured the t56 tranny. Only 1 inch difference which will be made up by the engine sitting a little bit farther. If someone makes mounts that are super expensive I'll start producing my own.

If anything the tunnel will just have to be massaged a bit. No cutting will be needed. Yes a BFH will help lol. A4 guys will have a harder time since their trannies are larger and may need to retunnel. Engine/trans Mounts and driveshaft and its easy from there with a T56.
