Default Any Turbo Kit for Hybrids

Has anyone tried a turbo kit for his hybrid project.

I have a 1991 Jeep Wrangler that will receive an LS1 transplant. Will any of the single or twin turbo kits fit in there.

It will be without A/C. Just the alternator and the power steering pump.

Will a single turbo kit for F-Body or even LS1 truck fit the Jeep.

It's a sand Jeep, so, I am not worried about axles because sand traction is forgiving. It will be mated to TH350. Will have to get the truck oil pan and oil pump pick up tube.

My LS1 Mustang project is starting out heads/cam/n2o, but shortly after going on the road I'll start building the turbo setup. I'm already acquiring the parts

Which turbo kit? Or, if you're going DIY turbo, which turbo , blow off valve, waste gate and intercooler. What's your goal?. Is it 346ci.

I am thinking to get forged pistons and rods 348ci and T76GTS turbo but didn't decide on bolw off valve and waste gate size cause it will be open headers, no cats or mufflers.

I guess it makes a differnce when selecting a waste gate size if it's open header doesn't it?

I am looking for 800 RWHP. Is it possible with say 16 psi boost out of a T76GTS.

No kit, I'll build everything myself. The current plan is "shorty" tubular style manifolds, and placing the turbocharger on the passenger side front frame rail. I already have a Turbonetics T76, Q-trim, with a .96a/r tangential turbine housing. I'm still open on the BOV and WG options. We used TiAL pieces on the g/f's car, and they're working well so I'd feel comfortable using them again. The intercooler will be whatever I can get my hands on for a reasonable price. I might even upgrade the g/f's car and take hers Its an OBX 2.5" in/out. As for the motor, I haven't started on the build but am also open there -- so many options that will all work just fine, I'll cross that bridge in a couple months. I'm leaning towards a run-of-the-mill low compression 348 though, for the cost factor.

They won't have kits out for a Jeep. However if you do come across a kit for an F body you'll be able to use alot of parts but you will have fab up some different plumbing for the I/C pipes. You might also have clearance problems on the turbos/manifolds since kits are designed for an F body. Really depends on how much you want to fab, personally I'd do it myself and if you knew how to fab then do it yourself, you'll save alot of money.
