Default Custom Clutch Line

Pretty much have my engine to go into my 240sx. One thing I noticed was that the slave has a quick disconnect fitting. Does anyone make a conversion fitting or adapter to go in its place and possibly allow me to use Steel Braided line going to the master? Tried summit couldn't find jack. Thanks guys and Merry Christmas!

Just cut into it and use some -4 fittings.

See my post here.

How did you join it to the new fittings? I understand take the stock line connect it to the trans run the line up... how'd you get a banjo fitting on? You can't just use fittings and stick a worm clamp on it. I don't need a banjo fitting I am going to need a metric fitting to use with the stock 240sx Master.

What I was thinking is if I could get a special fitting for the trans adapting the quick disconnect to a -4AN, then I could use -4AN line going up to an AN to Metric adapter to mate the line to my Master Cylinder. I'll take pix tomarrow, it'll help clear what I'm talking about. I was looking at something like this to mate to the slave - http://store.summitracing.com/defaul....asp&x=35&y=12

Thanks Stevie.

I dont know what fittings will be compatable with the stock T56 quick release.

You can get a variety of fittings for the braided hose.
This is the make up of the fittings.
You have a hex nut far right, which goes outside the stainless braid.
Next is the compression collar/olive. Ths is a tight fit over the inner teflon hose, and the braid sits over the top of its tapered section. Then the actual fitting you intend to use. This slips inside the teflon hose, and again is a pretty tight fit.
When you tighten the hex nut, it compresses everything together, and forms a secure joint.
The actual fitting I show is a BSP ( I think ) to -4 hose, but thats not important, you can get them for most thread types.

From what I can tell on the Summit site, its these type of fittings.

Aeroquip, Goodridge and Earls should all make similar stuff.

Another option here is to take your stock end to a hydralic shop and have them cut the end off the hose and put a 4 JIC (otherwise known in the racing world as 4 AN) female fitting on the quick release put a union in there and have another hose fabbed up. As for the connection on the slave cylinder you can get the fittings to crossover to the fbody/GM connections to 4AN from McCleod.

Yep, I jus took my stock line to a hydraulic shop with my wilwood clutch master cylinder and the guy cut the GM fitting put it on the new extended line, and got a fitting into the outlet of the clutch MC and bam! Total cost was 27 dollars with fittings and 30 minutes worth of time.

Wish my camera was working so I could take a pic.

I am going back there this wednesday to do my fuel system.

Hrm... looks like I am gonna go have to go find a hydraulic shop in MI then... What kind of hydraulic places you guys talking about? I heard NAPA makles customs lines like that but we don't deal with the NAPA by my place because we have a history with them. Did you supply your own line Ricekilla?

Will the stock Nissan master work with the LS1 throw out bearing?

Depends on how much fluid it shifts.

Stock system is 3/4" bore, and has 1" of travel at the master.
