need some help please..
First welcome to the forum. First thing I suggest to you is to read the FAQs on this page and on the New LS1 Owners and Enthusiasts forum. There is a lot of information there that will answer many of your questions. Next tool for you is the Search feature. You will find that many of your questions have been asked and answered before, some of them many times. Next suggestion is when you do ask a question put something meaningful in the title that give people an idea what your question is. Saying "Need some help" does not catch peoples interest, Saying "LS1 into an 86 Corvette?" will catch the eye of others who have done that swap or have info.
Now, to offer some answers to your questions. Is there a kit? No not really, but there are a number of items that help such as motor mount adapter plates and reprogrammed ECUs and harnesses. Exhaust seems to be a challenge for almost everyone, as does fuel delivery. These swaps are not like swapping one 350 for another, but they can be done and are well worth it. Cost depends a lot on how much you can do yourself, what you pay for your donor motor and whether you are content to leave the motor stock or want to mod it. I have heard of some swaps done as cheaply as $4k others bust above the $20k mark. Most seem to come in around the $9-10 k mark. There are a couple threads on the subject. I did a search on this forum for Conversion Cost and found this thread:
https://ls1tech.com/forums/showthrea...onversion+cost
I ave also found that sometimes the terms you find when you do a search will give you ideas of other terms to use in a subsequent search to find more info. Hope this helps get you started, if you do it I am betting you will really like the results. Good luck
Pat
