Go to http://forums.hybridz.org/ . The best V8 Z website there is, helped me immensely with my LT1/T56 280.

Has anyone tried or know if a LSx would fit in a e36 or e46 Bimmer? I think it would be awesome to have a LSx in one of them. I loved my '97 328 vert, but it would have been better with a V8. Plus they are so damn expensive to get serviced if anything goes wrong There is a high mileage '98 vert by me for a decent price and I can just see it with an LSx/T56 in it If anyone can help me, let me know.

Thanks,
Jake

After the conversion, my S2000 weighs in dry at 2607lb. Once I remove the nitrous (aluminum intake manifold, nozzles, solenoids, two 20lb bottles, warmers, openers, etc.) it should easily be in the low 2500s.

I'm surprised no one mentioned the Miata. A few years ago a company in California made some Miata Monsters with small block Fords in them. They'd convert yours or sell you one. They looked like an awesome hybird.

I would have to go with a Vega or equivelant!
Not too many around, can be fairly light with the right parts....

In high school he and I saw a black BGT with a turbo on the litte 4cyl tractor engine when we took it to a MG/AustinH show in St Augustine, FL. Got to drive his god father's left hand drive manual 1947 MG TC on the beach. Wait a minute, an LS1 in a TC. That's an idea!!! When I was at the Corvette museum years and years ago there was a red TC in there, as part of the history section of when our GI's came back from Europe they wanted a sports car. It all makes sense now...

right now I'm working on putting a 7.5" 10 bolt possi in my MGB GT rear with the stock 3.90 gears moser is making me the axels with the 10 bold spline on the inside and the MGB spline on the out side so I can keep the stock brakes and wheels for now. I have to machine the carrier a bit to get the MG ring gear to fit on the possi but it fits in the housing and everything with the bearings changed out. Cant wait to have that in the MG with some slicks I'm going to try to get in the 12's all motor now and this get below 12.50 with the 75 shot.

As for the 3rd Gen RX7 stuff take a look at www.hinsonsupercars.com and www.torquecentral.com that will tell you everything you need to know I'm working on my Black RX7 right now with a LS1 T-56 swap.

Someone mentioned Dax.

I have a stock LS1 in my Rotus. Total weight (less driver and fuel) is 1650 lbs. (maybe a little lighter since I've changed the fuel tank).

The car has rock solid handling - eventhough I'm just starting to sort out the suspension for autox.

Haven't been to the dragstrip yet. I'm expecting low 11s or high 10s.

A couple of pics:

better put some wheely bars on that thing....I think that you could hit less than 10's with a sticky tire and the bars.... maybe some juice too...

or destroy the rear

I put Toyo Proxes RA1's on, and that made a huge difference. Before that, I could start a spin in 4th by just rolling into it. Now I can still do that in 2nd - barely. So traction is decent.
