Turbo Nova finally runs -pics---> Ive been working on this for about a year now and finally it ran tonight for the first time. 
All that hard work and just turn the key and fired up. I was kinda expecting a problem or two getting it started. I do have to fix a leak in my fuel rail though. And a few other things, fan, cold piping, alt, ect... Thanks for all the helpfull info everyone!!

Any updates on the car ? Would love to see the car this summer if there are any planned events that you are going to. Im currently looking into the same set-up for my olds so it would be great to bounce some ideas off and throw a few back!
pwrtrip75- you have any seat time in it yet Im interested in how it runs, because I just pick up a 5.3 and plan to run that same turbo. also did you do any mods to the motor or is it stock?

Im currently waiting on edelbrocks back order for their victor EFI intakes. Ive been waiting for a month. No i havnt drove it yet. I know the turbo is quite large for this displacement. But im just using the 5.3 to mock everything up, get it running and kinda do some testing with it. Im not sure how it will work. My plans are to build a 6.0 or larger shortblock that can handle boost. this 5.3 is bone stock except for the ported 6.0 heads on it. they bring the compression down to about 8.6:1
I havnt touched it since these pics. Im getting anxious though. just waiting on that intake and fuel rail setup. Then i have to fabricate an aluminum elbow from the carb base on the intake to put the throttle body on.
I dont usually enter in any shows, its not real show quality. More of a daily driver that sees some time at the track.
