Hi everyone.
I am currently looking into a possible project with a mk1 mr2. Basically I am wanting to fit a V8 engine into one and the engine of choice at the moment is the LS1 block.
Has anyone heard of this done before and if not does anyone think that it can be done.
I would appreciate any opinions of whether this could work and any ideas that could make this project possible.
I know some V8's can be fitted but having never heard of an LS being fitted want to at least research it so I know once and for all.
Cheers for any help you can give

the Nortstar was the first engine that popped into my head when I started reading this too. I know there are quite a few fiero's that have northstars in them.
How about an LS4 out of a new impala SS?

good luck...I have owned a 86 mkI and a 91-t mkII and there isn't much space in either....I think if you hacked into the truck....it could be possible. I would love to see it done. Good Luck and keep us posted if you decide to try it.

Cheers for the input guys. I've read bill strongs site its got some good information that I may be able to use with this project but I don't want to use an auto box so will need to work that bit out as well. Another problem is I'm not likely to come across any Northstar engines here.
I'll check up on the LS4 and see if that would be any good for whats being planned.
Even if I don't take on the project myself all the research into it will be written up incase any of the other guys on twobrutal get around to it before I get the chance.
Cheers again.
No doubt I'll be along bugging you guys looking for more info soon :-)
