CAI's I'm trying to use almost all stock components on my 6.0L swap. I even tried to use the factory air box and intake tube. Well, it didn't work, the truck air intake stuff doesn't even clear my hood on a fullsize k5 blazer. That's how big and ugly it is. As for home brew cold air intakes I've seen a lot of really cheap and cheesy (PVC) ones, and also some really nice ones (mandrel bent stainless pipe). But, I was wondering if a few people could post pics of LS1 truck CAI's that worked for them. Part numbers for the air filters would also help me out.
Also this might seem kinda paranoid but is there anything on the market that can wrap around a cone air filter that is somewhat waterproof but freeflowing? I only ask because about 4 years ago I had a civic with a hevily modded b18 motor and an AEM cai that went all the way to the ground and I destroyed my motor while going over a small puddle.
