pete i ment the back end will be steering not the front like the turbo FWD astras!

That is gonna be sick. I didnt read all the 9 pages so I dunno if you already said how much it weighed. So how much? Wanna trade for an RS Camaro when you get finished

About 1350kg maybe a bit less

The only thing I`d swap with would be a Porsche GT3 RS ............... fat chance

hello mate. this thread is gettin a mad amount of attention, i found it coz it was posted on a uk vauxhall forum on how mad your project! much respect id love this but i dont have the workshop or welding skills! i read that u had aload of work done by regal? so im guessing ur based in the south of england? where abouts are u im from bournemouth and would love come visit if you didnt mind!

Wow, this thing is crazy. For the headers, I know you're making your own, but try to make longtubes. They make such a huge difference between shorties and they'll give you more room to grow if you decide to go CI+, heads / cam, or blower. Not to mention the sound, ooh the sound.

I didn`t make my own in the end, I used mid lenghts from a Holden HSV Commodore.

Be some more pics up soon of the rear strut brace, chassis strengthening and steering rack mounts.

It`s custom made by the guys at Promotasport, 700mm long x 430mm high x 80mm thick, 4 core. Top quality too

Sound deadening fitted to boot floor ............


I`ve removed the strut brace for polishing, and the boot is now in grey primer

My car is being featured already. Had a call today from Ed Hall of Practical Performance Car, asking lots of questions, and asked me to email some pics, it`s gonna be in "Readers Projects" in the next issue out 28th Sept.
