Tremec 6 speed shifter. I`ve just bought an LS1 with the above g/box and need to change the position of the shifter, it needs to be about 6" further forward.
I also need a gear lever.
Could someone tell me the best way to do this please ?

Camaro shifter doesnt have the extension piece like teh GTO trans does, so probably sites about 3-4 inches further forward.
Should be a simple case of getting a regular Camaro T56 shifter and bolting it in palce of what you have.
Vipers have their shifters located on the square 4 bolt plate near the middle of the trans.

I couldnt say what would suit you better, you would need to measure that for yourself.
I just know the viper stick is situated there. it would depend on your car, seating position etc as to what would suit you best.
