Default Chevelle radiator hoses

What radiator hoses will work from the LS1 to 71 chevelle 4 core radiator? I did a seach and came up with nothing. The hoses from the 99 camero are close to right shape just to short.
Thanks, Jeff

You might just have to spend some time down at the local parts store... Stock Tahoe/Silverado/Escalade top AND bottom rad hoses worked great for me. But I'm running the truck intake.

Thanks for the info. I will do some checking today. ls1_chevelle did you find out if any F-body LT headers to fit yet? I am looking to do the same before I hang the front end on.

Hey chevelle, how does the LQ9 fit under the hood with the truck intake, does it have much room ? What motor mounts did you guys use ? I seen the Hooker LT for LS1 Chevelle swaps but they are $499.97 and the mount kit is $69. 97. Guessing the headers might work on my car but im guessing the mount kit wont, not sure yet, gonna have to do a little more research.

Despite what Hooker Tech says I bought a used set of Super Comp LT's for a Camaro. They fit right in. Only issue I had was my tranny bell housing area(big deal, lifted the engine off one engine mount and it slipped right in).

The 4l80e is a monster. My tranny tunnel from the firewall to shifter location was removed. I'm grafting in a 2wd 4l80e truck tranny tunnel. Using the LS1 Camaro oil pan I still had to cut the firewall to clear the back end of the intake. A LS1 water pump, intake, fuel rail, etc swap will stop you from having to cut the firewall.

Edit: Engine mounts.... I used the BRP mounts and tranny crossmember from them aswell.

If you want to see some pretty decent reference pics click my sig and sign up to view the pics(shameless plug)

Sounds good, i signed up, waiting for access to pics. Just curious but would a 4l60 do the same thing and fit without cutting up everything ? IF I am going to cut the floor up maybe i will just go with the 6 speed right away. Hmmm.... more things to pondor

ls1_chevelle you said you used the super comp LT's I assume these are for a late model (98-02) F-body or are they for a 1st gen?

With the 60e I believe you can get away with a hammer and lots of hitting. When talking to BRP they said that for ease of getting the engine/tranny in and out and having nice clearance you should just do a "T" cut to the tunnel. The top of the "T" being closer to the firewall. This works for the 4l60e and T-56 from what I was told.

I used flexable stainless steel lines for my Rad. They worked great. I have S&P motor mounts. I moved the motor back two inches and drilled new holes in my frame. (alt didnt clear steering box). I didnt need to cut the fire wall. I dented it in a little for my 4L60e to clearence it. I tried the camaro LS1 headers the drivers one didn't clear. Only reason I built a new trans crossover was to make room for my exaust.

I just went to Advanced Auto to match up an upper radiator hose. 93-95 camero part# 71696 fits perfect. thanks for your help.

Do the BRP mounts make the engine sit up an inch higher. This seems like the cause of cutting the firewall and trans tunnel. If the S&P brackets sit lower would that be better or does that mean you have to use their brackets for the power steering and alternator now. Sounds like a marketing ploy. I like the idea of using camaro headers though. Thanks for the info guys.

My BRP kit has the oil pan pretty much resting on the crossmember... The reason why S&P gets away with less mods is because you have to notch the pan quite a bit(done by them) which moves the whole driveline forward good 1-2 inches.
