how different is a Corvette LS1 from an F-body LS1?
So I may have found a corvette Ls1 for a really really really sweet deal. It's stock and has about 30,000 on the clock. My question is i was looking for a Trans Am Ls1 but is the Corvette LS1 have a different setup? I know it may have a different cam, but like how about the position of the alternator etc. Will I be able to do this in my 96' Trans Am (fitting it in) Any insight would be awesome and don't post in here just to say i'm an idiot for wanting to do this. Thanks!

Don't know if the vette ***. will fit your f body but if you get a good deal on it, the ***. are worth more than the F body ones you can sell them and get f body ones. the oil pan is NG you will prob need a F body one. The throttle body dosn't use a cable so you will need a f body one too. Computer and harness control the TB so you may need to modify a little.
Didnt you post this EXACT same thing about 3 days ago?edit:

Quick question - Is the A/C bracket and compressor the same for the Fbody and the vette? I have both a vette LS1 and Z28 LS1 but only the A/C bracket and compressor from the Z28. I want to know if they're interchangable.
