Failed emisssions and no codes....

I just failed the sniff test due to very high HC values. All other readings were in range and no check engine lights (now or in the last year or so). I searched LS1 tech and google and can't find too much. So far my current theory is either O2 sensors, Maf dirty from K&N residue, or vacuum leaks.

Any advise on where to look or start would be greatly appreciated. Also, I am in Houston, so if you know of a good tuner shop to check things out, let me know.

BTW...I have a 2000 LQ4 6.0 in a 1987 land cruiser FJ60

high hc is a sign of excessive unburned fuel.

check for a leaking injector, regulator, dirty maf. also check the long term fuel trim with a scan tool.
