LS1 ballast resistors

LS1 ballast resistors I will be using LS1 coil packs but not on an LS1 engine. Do I need to wire ballast resistors in series to each coil (or one on the main power line)? If so, do I just get a regular ballast resistor at the auto parts store, or do I have to get something specific?
