Default What is this connector for ?

I don't have a manual for the motor or car. The LS1/T56 is from a 99' f-body, Going into my 71' Chevelle.

There is a short harness with a 3 pin connector near the PCM that I don't know what it is for. The color of the wirers are Gray/Red/Purple. The pin's are arranged in a triangle order. The seal band is also purple.

Depending on what it is for. I may not need it. But need to find out what it is for 1st.

Thanks
