Default VATS Removal?

I just had the VATS removed from my PCM programming and what is the procedure for removing the black box with the red light? Do I just cut it out of the harness or do I have to join the two wires together now? This is that little black box with the resistor in it and a red LED light that always stays on.

I'll try to find a picture.

Yep, just cut it off like a nasty wart. no wires need to be together if the Computer has been programmed.

Yeah its not spliced inline anywhere. Cut the wires off and tape. For the best look cut the splice out and shrink wrap. Want to sell it? I need one...

Its not a resistor. It is a 5V 50Hz square wave signal generator. There should be 3 wires, power, ground and signal. Just chop it off and heat shrink over the wires.

Moderator Note - It doesn't matter for what your'e doing, Buddy, just wanted to let others know that may look at this thread.
